Traditional Health Worker Continuing Education


All Traditional Health Workers seeking renewal are required to complete three hours of Suicide Prevention Training in addition to approved training curricula:

COCC’s New Community Health One-Year Certificate of Completion


For the Fall term 2023, Central Oregon Community College’s Public Health program launched a new Community Health One-Year Certificate of Completion (CC1).


  • Certificate prepares students to work in various fields of public health including community health worker, wellness coach, outreach case manager, and community health advocate.
  • This certificate contains opportunities for practicums, mentoring, and on-going career development support.
  • All coursework completed can be applied to the Public Health Associates of Arts Degree of Transfer, as well as Continuing education for current Traditional Health Workers.
